If you’ve ever flipped on The View, you’ll be sickened, like the rest of America, by the co-hosts’ constant bickering and entitled celebrity status.
The show was originally created by veteran news journalist Barbara Walters to respect and uplift women. But now it has degenerated into a squabbling, hate-mongering show were anyone who isn’t liberal gets attacked for their views.
This past week The View co-hosts targeted the women who competed for the Miss America title. They ripped to shreds Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson’s monologue during the talent competition.
Miss Kelley is a registered nurse who recounted an experience with an Alzheimer’s patient, Joe.
Johnson told him he was “not just Alzheimer’s. You are still Joe.”
After nurses around the country applauded Miss Colorado’s tribute to the profession, The View tore her heartfelt monologue to shreds.
“Why is she wearing a doctor’s stethoscope?” She’s only a nurse, “comedian” Michelle Collins said.
“She came out in a nurse’s uniform and basically read her emails out loud and shockingly did not win. I was like, that’s not a real talent.”
After the country rallied around Miss Colorado with the hashtag #nursesunite, The View issued a faux-apology. “We love nurses. We adore you. We respect you. You guys are wonderful.”
But this kind of America bashing is the reason The View’s ratings have dropped 50 percent among their core demographic of women 25-54. Additionally, ad venue has fallen 30 percent over the year, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It won’t be able to survive for long.
Do you think The View should be taken off the air?
