Zip ties, velcro, carabiners and tennis grip tape? It sounds more like a hardware or outdoor store shopping list, not a stroll around the block with your baby. However, WhatsUpMoms video full of great “mom hacks” shows you how to transform your stroller adventures into less cumbersome and way more efficient outings.
From using carabiners to hold purses and bags in the back – and balancing ankle weights to stabilize the stroller in the front – this video teaches parents to use the stroller more as a resource and less of a source of frustration. Worn handles quickly become new and comfortable again with some tennis grip tape and those zip ties make slippery terrain much smoother for pusher and passenger alike.
The video also explores the best ways to clean strollers, avoid bottle spills and save a stroller from hogging all the space in the garage and the car.
A “Mamas and Papas” survey cited on the website “Baby Center” reported that urban parents spend seven hours a week behind a stroller, while suburban parents spend about five hours. Considering that only half of the parents surveyed were 100 percent happy with their stroller, commenting on items such as maneuverability and space issues, these tips may just save some parents some needed sanity.
Pass this along to parents you know currently fighting the stroller wars!
