Here’s The Outfit She Was Sent Home For Because Male Teachers Complained It Was Too Distracting…

When her north England high school banned girls from wearing skirts in their dress code, one student was among a group of girls sent home on their first day of school for wearing tight pants.

Trentham High School located in Stoke-on-Trent, England had banned skirts after the male teachers couldn’t stop looking at their students. But when the girls started wearing tight pants instead, they realized the problem had gotten even worse…

Originally, male teachers were embarrassed when their female students would “walk upstairs or sit down” in skirts, Dr. Rowena Blencowe, the school’s head teacher said.

In order to comply with her school’s dress code, 15-year-old Harriet Dale wore slacks to class. But she was sent home on the first day of school because they were deemed too tight.

“People were deliberately picked out,” Dale said, according to the Daily Mail. “I was with a girl wearing exactly the same pair of trousers but, because I have slightly larger legs than her, I was told my trousers were too tight and that I had to go home and change.

“It’s really uncomfortable to think you could be walking around the corridors and teachers will be looking you up and down. I’m not the only person who feels that way.”

Harriet’s mother agreed with her daughter.

“I’m incredibly angry,” she said. “I can’t believe the school is kicking up a fuss over something so minor. In the last school year it was skirts, now it’s trousers.

“Harriet was understandably upset at being picked out within seconds of arriving at school.”

The school’s dress code made Harriet feel even more self-conscious.

“I know I’ve got slightly bigger legs than some people, it doesn’t need pointing out,” Harriet said, hurt and embarrassed.

After mom bought Harriet three pairs of slacks for school, the student can now only wear one.

“They are part of Next’s workwear range, so how are they not suitable for school?” Helen said. “It’s beyond belief.”

Schools across the world, especially the U.S., have been enforcing strict dress codes that seem to target female students – often because male teachers or chaperones have trouble with them.

Do you think women should have to wear certain clothes because men have problems with it? Are dress codes getting too strict?
